There were numerous reports from witnesses, first responders and Clean up crews that saw pools of Molten metal (steel) under wtc 1, wtc 2, and wtc 7. All of this evidence I am about to show you was ignored by NIST and the 9/11 Commission.

Since we know that Jet Fuel burns at a maximum temperature of ~260-315°C (500-599°F) in open air, Hydro Carbon fires burn at a maximum of 825ºC (1517ºF), and the melting point of typical structural steel is ~1510ºC (2750ºF). Then what caused the “pools of Molten steel” at the WTC?

FACT#4) Hundreds of firefighters and witness testimony to MOLTEN METAL was ignored by the 9/11 Commission. NIST’s John Gross denies the existence of Molten Metal. FEMA found “Evidence of a severe high temperature corrosion attack” on the “Swiss Cheese” WTC 7 steel sample, ‘Limited Metallurgical Examination (FEMA C-13, Appendix C-6)’. The flow starts at 25 seconds and continues until 1:45 then the building collapses 15 seconds later. NIST states that the “flow lasted approximately four seconds.” This is a blatant lie since this video is proof that the flow lasted for nearly 1 minute and 20 seconds.

Mark Loizeaux of Controlled Demolition Inc. told the American Free Press that “molten steel was found “three, four, and five weeks later, when the rubble was being removed,”. In the basements of the World Trade Center were hotspots of “literally molten steel” more than a month after…found at the bottoms of the elevator shafts of the main towers, down seven levels…” He said that molten steel was also found at World Trade Center 7.

“Molten steel was encountered primarily during excavation of debris around the South Tower when large hydraulic excavators were digging trenches 2 to 4 meters deep into the compacted/burning debris pile. There are both video tape and still photos of the molten steel being “dipped” out by the buckets of excavators. I’m not sure where you can get a copy.

Peter Tully of Tully Construction was the contractor responsible for the eastern quadrant of the pile– the South Tower, WTC 4 and 5, and the 425,000 square foot underground mall. Tully granted an interview that proved most interesting:

‘Think of the thousands of file cabinets, computers, and telephones in those towers – I never saw one – everything was pulverized,’ he said. ‘Everything that was above grade – above the 6th and 7th floor – disintegrated…it was like an explosion.’ Tully Construction specializes in concrete. I asked Mr. Tully if he had ever seen concrete pulverized as it was at the WTC.

‘No – never,’ he said.

Tully said that there were hot spots where he observed ‘literally molten steel.’ Asked about what could have caused such intense heat, Tully said, ‘Think about the jet fuel.’

Thomas Eagar, an MIT materials professor, had described the fires as “the most misunderstood part of the WTC collapse”. This is because the fires were originally said to have “melted” the floors and columns. As Eagar said, “The temperature of the fire at the WTC was not unusual, and it was most definitely not capable of melting steel.” Jet fuel is essentially kerosene and would have served mainly to ignite very large, but not unusually hot, hydrocarbon fires.

~1510ºC (2750ºF) – melting point of typical structural steel.
~825ºC (1517ºF) – maximum temperature of hydrocarbon fires burning in the atmosphere without pressurization or pre-heating (premixed fuel and air – blue flame). Diffuse flames burn far cooler. Oxygen-starved diffuse flames are cooler yet.The fires in the Towers were diffuse and well below 800ºC.
